Der kompakte Aktivsubwoofer PULSE SUB+ entspricht in Format und Form zwar weitgehend seinem Vorgänger, doch ansonsten blieb kein Stein auf dem anderen. So wird der PULSE SUB+ erstmals genauso wie die anderen Bluesound Produkte als eigenständiger Player ins Heimnetzwerk eingebunden. Die Zuordnung zum gewünschten Lautsprecher erfolgt – wie auch die meisten weiteren Einstellungen – bequem und zentral über die auf einem Smartphone, Tablet, PC oder Mac installierte BluOS™-App. Eine Kabelverbindung ist somit – abgesehen vom Netzkabel – nicht mehr erforderlich, bei Bedarf aber alternativ über den Cinch-Eingang des SUB+ möglich.
Neu sind auch der mit einem Durchmesser von nun 200 mm deutlich größere Tieftöner und die mit 200 Watt Impulsleistung erheblich kräftigere Endstufe. Das Chassis mit seiner besonders leichten wie festen Polypropylen-Membran und der Verstärker sind mit Hilfe des integrierten digitalen Soundprozessors perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt und sorgen in kleineren bis mittelgroßen Wohnräumen für eine druckvolle, dynamische Basswiedergabe.
Beibehalten hat Bluesound indes die vielseitigen Aufstellungsmöglichkeiten für den PULSE SUB+: Dank seines nur knapp 15 cm tiefen Gehäuses lässt er sich zusätzlich zu den Standard-Platzierungen an die Wand hängen, unauffällig hinter einem Vorhang verstecken oder unter das Sofa legen. Eine Wandhalterung gehört zum Lieferumfang.
