Der ST-7 ist ein vielseitiger MC-Step-Up-Transformator aus dem Hause Ortofon, der speziell für niedrigpegelige Moving-Coil (MC) Tonabnehmer konzipiert wurde. Sein kompaktes Gehäuse ruht auf vier Gummifüßen, wodurch unerwünschte Vibrationen weitgehend gedämpft werden.
Im Inneren kommen hochwertige Litzen und goldbeschichtete Anschlüsse zum Einsatz, um eine optimale Signalübertragung zu gewährleisten. Die Sandwich-Wickelstruktur des ST-7 verbessert die Höhenwiedergabe und sorgt insgesamt für einen klaren, offenen Klang über das gesamte Frequenzspektrum.
