Der Schaltungsaufbau des Musical Fidelity M3si basiert auf SMD-Technologie, um möglichst kurze Signalwege sowie eine deutlich kleinere Platine zu erzielen. Damit bleibt im Inneren des Musical Fidelity mehr Platz für eine verbesserte Stromversorgung. Diese verfügt nun über eine deutlich erweiterte Batterie an Kondensatoren, und zwar jeweils eine separate pro Kanal. Das umfassende Upgrade bringt mehr Leistung, bessere Rauschabstände und klar bessere Wiedergabe von Phono, Line und USB-Klangquellen. Wegen der deutlichen Klangaufwertung des M3si im Vergleich zum Vorgänger und dem fast unveränderte Preis, ist der Gegenwert fürs Geld herrausragend.
