Mistysa ist die Verfasserin, Komponistin und sogar die Produzentin ihres ersten Albums, da sie ein eigenes Label „Misty Productions“ gründete . Ihre musikalische Ausbildung begann mit Gesangsunterricht, den sie auf dem Beethoven Konservatorium in Sao Paulo in Brasilien absolvierte. Danach studierte Sie als Hauptfach Komposition und Arrangement auf der Pro-Jazz Music School in Santiago in Chile. Dieser multikulturelle Hintergrund ist es, der das Album so einzigartig macht und der Grund für die vielen verschiedenen Musikstile. Diese gehen von R&B, Soul, Jazz und brasilianische Rhythmen bis zu kubanische Interpretationen auf englisch, französisch, spanisch und portugiesisch.
