Der Musical Fidelity M3x DAC ist ein hochwertiger Digital-Analog-Wandler für anspruchsvolle HiFi-Anlagen. Er dient als zentrale Schaltstelle für digitale Quellen und wandelt digitale Audiosignale in ein präzises, rauscharmes Analogsignal für Vor- oder Vollverstärker um.
Der M3x DAC setzt auf den DAC-Chip PCM1795 sowie einen Sample-Rate-Converter SRC4392 und ist auf sehr geringe Jitterwerte und hohe Kanaltrennung ausgelegt. Dadurch eignet er sich besonders für saubere, stabile Wiedergabe mit hoher Detailauflösung.
Für die Einbindung stehen mehrere Digitaleingänge zur Verfügung: zweimal koaxial und zweimal optisch bis 24 Bit / 192 kHz sowie USB (USB Audio Class 2.0) bis 32 Bit / 192 kHz inklusive DSD256 (DoP und nativ). Auf der Ausgangsseite bietet er Cinch und XLR, jeweils wahlweise fix oder variabel.
