Der C 399 ist mit der eingebauten HybridDigital nCore™-Technologie von NAD, die bisher nur den Geräten der Master-Serie (M10 und M33) vorbehalten war, der neue Flaggschiff-Vollverstärker der Classic Serie. Er ist auch der erste Verstärker mit der neuen MDC2-Generation die es dem Nutzer ermöglicht optionale Module für Funktionen wie BluOS Hi-Res-Multiroom-Streaming oder Dirac-Live-Raumkorrektur hinzuzufügen.
Neben je zwei optischen und koaxialen Digitaleingängen verfügt der C 399 auch über einen HDMI-eARC-Anschluss zum Abspielen von Audioinhalten von einem angeschlossenen Fernseher. Zusätzlich zu den zwei Paar Lautsprecherausgängen gibt es einen Vorverstärker-Ausgang und zwei Subwoofer-Ausgänge. Das bidirektionale aptX-HD Bluetooth ermöglicht 24-Bit-Streaming von mobilen Geräten und eine hochwertige Ausgabe an Bluetooth-Kopfhörer - ein dedizierter Kopfhörerverstärker mit niedriger Ausgangsimpedanz und hoher Ausgangsspannungsfähigkeit für anspruchsvolle Studiokopfhörer ist ebenfalls integiert!
