Der 2M Black Premounted ist die Spitzen-Variante der 2M-Reihe und wird bereits vormontiert auf einem SH-4 Headshell geliefert. Damit entfällt das manuelle Montieren des Tonabnehmers - eine bequeme Lösung für viele Anwender. Der 2M Black soll eine außergewöhnlich detailreiche Wiedergabe bieten, bei der man das Gefühl hat, den Künstler direkt im Raum zu erleben.
Das System nutzt einen Shibata-Diamanten, der durch seine schlanke, polierte Form eine große Kontaktfläche zu den Rillenwänden ermöglicht und hohe Präzision auch in den Höhen gewährleistet. Zudem kommt eine Motorstruktur mit **Split-Pole-Pins** zum Einsatz, die mit versilbertem Kupferdraht optimiert sind, um das Signal möglichst verlustfrei übertragen zu können.
