Das Gehäuse des Standlautsprechers wirkt zeitlos: Neben dem warmen Nussbaumfurnier, dem gewebten Stoffgitter und dem speziellen Ständer verfügt der Passif 50 über ästhetische Elemente die auf das Jubiläum hinweisen. Dazu gehören eine Zuglasche am Frontgrill, die das Original-Logo von PSB trägt, und eine Plakette auf der Rückseite die mit einem Ahornblatt und der Aufschrift "Passif 50 - 1972-2022" geschmückt ist.
Die Lautsprecherkörbe des Tieftöners und des passiven Radiators bestehen aus gegossenem Aluminium und abgerundete Gummisicken für eine gleichmäßigere Ansprache und geringe Verzerrungen.
Der Titankalotten-Hochtöner verfügt über einen leistungsstarken Neodym-Magneten mit Ferrofluid-Dämpfung für eine höhere Ausgangsleistung und eine verbesserte Belastbarkeit.
